Despite heavy objection and intensive opposition, California Governor Jerry Brown proved to the country who he really represents by signing into law Senate Bill 277, which removes the freedom of parents to opt their children out of vaccinations for personal reasons. Now, each child in California will be forced to get vaccinated in order to attend public or private schools, as a staggering number of families simply can not afford to homeschool their children.
Gov. Brown was said to be eager to sign SB 277 into law, acting on it just a day after legislators brought the bill to his office. This was a big 180 from his attitude just three years ago, when Assembly Bill 2109, which supported both personal and religious vaccine exemptions, was signed.
According to the bill, it will “eliminate the exemption from existing specified immunization requirements based upon personal beliefs,” while at the same time allowing “exemption from future immunization requirements deemed appropriate by the State Department of Public Health for either medical reasons or personal beliefs.”
Effectively, this means that California parents must go through the DPH to obtain permission to opt out of vaccines, either for medical reasons or for personal reasons that the state deems worthy of an exemption. Previously, only an affidavit declaring a personal objection to vaccinations was enough to opt out.
Because of these oppressive policies, many parents are left with no choice but to either move out of California or pull their children from school altogether. They would rather do this than subject their children to genetically altered viruses and neurodamaging chemicals. While government officials routinely lie about the mercury content of vaccines, a shortage of flu shots, somehow unforeseen by medical authorities, has now led many pregnant women and young, developing children to be injected with vaccines containing toxic mercury.
“Parents don’t like being told what to do, they don’t like feeling like their rights are stripped away,” said Kimberly McCauley of the San Francisco Bay Area to KESQ.com. “People are going to start moving away. [Gov. Brown] just screwed California. Single-handedly screwed California.”
