A new study reveals that e-cigarettes are helping people quit the “real thing” – better known as commercial “cancer sticks.” New research shows that smokers trying to quit are as much as sixty percent more likely to succeed if they use e-cigs and see a specialist (rather than taking pills, using the patch or chewing nicotine gum) to begin the weaning process and get off the 7,000 chemicals found in most Big Tobacco brand names. Funded by the charity “Cancer Research UK“ and published in the journal “Addiction,” University College London’s epidemiology and public health department led the study that ran from 2009 to 2014. The results? – Couple e-cigs with some specialist advice and you’re on your way to ending the nicotine habit and addiction too – also according to the follow up of an Associated Press report.
